It is so easy and tastes delicious


  • 4-5 green apples, peeled, cored and sliced.
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons mixed spice
  • 2 1/4 cups SR flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 Eggs, lightly beaten
  • 185 g Butter, melted
  • pinch Salt
  • sprinkle cinnamon and sugar

Step 1

Put all ingredients into sauté pan and mix until combined. Bake at 165 degrees C for 40 minutes or until cooked. Leave in sauté pan for about 15 minutes . Turn out onto plate using the splatter guard. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar on top.

Chef's Tips

Serve warm or cold with cream or ice cream or eat as is.



I slice the apple and fan out the slices around the top of the cake. It looks and tastes delicious!

Very nice and easy apple cake. I just used cinnamon sugar on top..this cake was a huge hit with family and friends.


Would this be able to be cooked on the stove top in the saute pan?
