A hearty meal to warm up the soul during those cooler nights!
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Dust the beef cubes in flour and remove excess.
Heat the Saute Pan over medium heat for 2 minutes. Reduce heat slightly.
Add oil and brown meat in batches. Set aside.
Cook the mushrooms, shallots and bacon in the pan for approx 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Return meat, mushrooms, shallots and bacon to pan and add the beer. Stir to combine. Bring to the boil.
Cover and bake for 2.5 hours.
You can use 2 cans of Guinness if stout is unavailable.
I would add carrots or turnips or maybe both!
