This is a quick easy decadant cake. Fabulous for those Family special Occassions

Ingredients

  • 125g Butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 cups Plain flour
  • 1 tsp bicarb soda
  • 4 Tbs cocoa powder
  • 1 Tbs Vanilla
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 Tbs white vinegar
  • ICING: 2-3 Cups icing sugar
  • 3 Tbs cocoa powder
  • 2-3 Tbs Soft Butter
  • Dash of Milk

Step 1

Put water, butter and cocoa into 3.5 Litre Saucepan, heat on low and bring to boil. Then let it cool slightly.

Step 2

While the mix cools, measure out the flour, bicarb soda, milk and vinegar in a bowl and add eggs (eggs lightly beaten). Mix well until combined.

Step 3

Place lid onto pot with vents closed. Turn it on low heat and cook for 40 minutes or until cooked through.

Step 4

Open vents from lid, run narrow spatula around the edge and invert the cake onto a cool rack. Allow to cool completely.

Step 5

ICING: Mix all icing ingredients, adding the dash of milk last if needed. Mix until nice and smooth and place on cake when cooled.
