Who doesn't love bread and butter? So why not make it seasonal with hot cross buns.
Heat oven to 180C
Whisk together eggs and sugar.
Heat milk and cream until just simmering. Add OJ and zest.
Tear buns into pieces and scatter in pan. Sprinkle chocolate over the top. Pour egg/cream mixture over and allow to soak into the buns. Sprinkle with nuts and place in the oven. Bake for 25-30min.
Allow to cool for a few minutes. Slice and serve from the pan with silicone spatula.
You can add whipped cream or ice-cream if desired.
