This is such a great bread to serve with the Pizza, & so easy to make... I love that it is ready at the same time as the pizza, as we normally do the pizza in the Square Roaster, and have this cooking in the Saute Pan at the same time.. So much healthier than store-bought Garlic Bread that drip with fat and who knows what else! Great way to also use up any dip or pesto left in your fridge! And easily converts to GF by substituting the flours for GF ones. You may just need a little extra flour..

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup SR flour
  • 1 Cup Plain flour
  • 1 Teaspoon Honey
  • 1 Teaspoon, rounded Dried Yeast
  • Good pinch Salt
  • 1 Cup lukewarm water
  • 1/2 Cup Grated Cheese, and/or Parmesan
  • 3 Tablespoons Pesto or any dip that you need to use up.

Step 1

Place SR & Plain flour in Saute Pan.

Step 2

Add honey, salt, yeast.

Step 3

Add lukewarm water and stir to just combine- dont over mix.

Step 4

Then add the cheese and pesto or dip.

Step 5

just fold, or gently mix to leave 'streaks' through your bread.

Step 6

Then flatten out with your hands- always putting flour on your hands to stop them from sticking.

Step 7

Stretch the bread to the edges of the pan, turning it as you reach an edge.

Step 8

Leave it nice and 'rustic'.

Step 9

Then place on your cooktop on med to med-high for 6-10 mins, vents closed(depending on your cooktop).

Step 10

Then carefully flip bread over, and cook for a further 6-8 mins on med low with the vents open.

Step 11

Invert out onto our Acacia Chopping Board or Paddle Board, and drizzle with good quality olive oil and sprinkle with some sea salt..

Step 12

Then serve to the hungry masses!! Enjoy

Chef's Tips

So cheap and so healthy!! Also great served with our Aussie Bush Dukkah.. Make with only 1/2 cup of each flour and 1/2 cup lukewarm water (all other ingredients are the same amount), and let it go really crispy.. Great served with dips.
