Whip up these healthy energy bars in minutes, and miss the preservatives and cups of sugar in the store-bought versions.

Ingredients

  • 125g butter, diced
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 2 Eggs
  • 110g (1 cup) oats
  • 110g (1cup) oat bran
  • 80g Dessicated coconut
  • 120g craisins or 1/2 cup craisins and 1/2 cup currants
  • 1/2 tspn baking powder
  • 50g (1/4 cup) Brown sugar
  • 30g (2 Tbsn) sesame seeds
  • 30g (2 Tbsn) flax seeds
  • 40g (2 Tbsn) Pepitas

Step 1

Heat oven to 180C (160C fan-forced)

Step 2

Insert dough hook. Add butter and honey. Temp 110C, Time 30 sec, Speed 2. Start.

Step 3

Add all remaining ingredients other than eggs. Time 1 min, Speed 6. Start.

Step 4

Add eggs. Time 1 min, Speed 6. Start.

Step 5

Divide mixture into Health bar mould. Place mould onto central oven rack and bake for 25 min.

Step 6

Remove from oven and allow to cool.
