The secret to this home made burger is the uber-garlicky aoili.
Heat griddle pan over medium.
Place patties in the pan, ensuring they are not touching.
Stir garlic through the mayonnaise.
Turn patties after 3 minutes. Place cheese slices on top of each pattie.
Cut buns in half and toast them.
Spread avocado over each toasted bun base. Add the salad leaves, then tomato slice. Spread aoili over the top of each bun.
When patties are cooked through (about 3 minutes), place each pattie on the bun base. Add the to of the burger. Enjoy!
This is also delicious with turkey or lamb patties. For an extra kick, before cooking, fold your favourite spice blend through the pattie and re-form them into rounds.
