Little Apple Danishes

This classic Little Apple Danishes is the perfect afternoon tea treat, packed full of flavours!

Ingredients

  • 2 medium apples
  • 2Tbs Brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Meal Inspirations Chai Blend
  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • Raw sugar to dust

Step 1

Preheat oven to 200°C.

Step 2

Peel and dice apples , place in a saucepan with a splash of water. Cover and cook till apples have softened slightly.

Step 3

Remove from heat stir through spice and sugar and set aside to cool.

Step 4

Cut each pastry sheet in half, then each half into three even rectangles.

Step 5

Brush the boarder of each rectangle with water and top three little rectangles with a big spoonful of apples.

Step 6

With the other three little triangles cut three slits even across them and keep in the middle. These are the lids, place them on top of the ones with Apple and push all around sides to seal.

Step 7

Repeat with next sheet of puff pastry . Place on a lined try and sprinkle tops with a little sugar. Bake for 12-15 mins or until puffed and golden.

Chef’s Tips

Add a scoop of ice-cream to complete the deliciousness!
