For good or bad, most Aussie kids grew up with these Christmas treats. You could substitute with orange juice, but OJ balls doesn't sound right.

Ingredients

  • 200g arrowroot biscuits
  • 1 tin condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 cups Dessicated coconut
  • 5 tbsn cocoa powder, preferably dutch cocoa
  • 1/3 cup rum
  • 100 g currants or sultanas
  • 100g coconut, extra

Step 1

Crumb biscuits in a food processor.

Step 2

Add remaining ingredients, other than currants. Whiz together.

Step 3

Whiz or stir through currants.

Step 4

Pour extra coconut into a bowl.

Step 5

Roll mixture in to balls slightly smaller than gold balls. Roll each ball in the bowl of coconut to cover.

Step 6

Refrigerate until set (about 1 hr)
