Preservative-free. Cheap (particularly when the cream is being discounted). Delicious.
Insert Egg Whip. Add cream. Close and lock lid. Time 6min, Speed 4. Start. If the cream has less than 40% fat (it must be at least 32%) add 1 min.
The cream will now be a grainy mixture of butter and buttermilk. Remove from bowl and strain through the steamer basket. Reserve the liquid as the buttermilk is awesome in pancakes. Return the butter to the bowl with the Egg Whip. Add sea salt. Time 1min, Speed 4, Start.
Mould the butter as desired and chill.
Added flavours can be added with the sea-salt eg crushed garlic, or chopped green herbs
