Home made pastry is sooo much better than the frozen stuff and takes seconds to make in your Cook Processor.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Plain flour
  • 125g Butter, cubed
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 Tbsn Iced water

Step 1

Insert dough attachment. Add flour and butter. Time 30sec, Speed 5. Start. The mixture should look like breadcrumbs. If not, scrape down and repeat.

Step 2

Remove Measuring Cup. Time 30sec, Speed 5. Start. Add egg yolk and then iced water as the dough is turning.

Step 3

Remove dough attachment. Remove dough and lightly knead with your hands. Shape into a disc, wrap in plastic wrap and rest in fridge for 20 min.

Chef's Tips

To make a sweet pastry, add 2 Tbsn icing sugar in Step 1.
